Improving Students’ Achievement In Writing Analytical Exposition Paragraph Through Debate Technique
ABSTRACT
The objective of this research is to find out the effectiveness of the implementation of debate technique in order to improve students‟ achievement in writing analytical exposition paragraph. The study was conducted by using class room action research. The subject of this study was the second year students of SMA Santo Thomas 4 Binjai consisting of 25 students.
The study was implemented in two cycles and each cycle consisted of three meetings. The instruments of data collection were writing test and social judgement (diary notes, observation sheets, questionnaire, and interview). The research result in that 1) the implementation of debate technique is effective to improve students‟ achievement in writing analytical exposition paragraph which is in writing test result, students‟ scores kept improving in every test that In orientation the mean score was 28,8, in the test of cycle I 51,8 and in the test of second cycle was 65. It means there is a significant improvement toward the before, after, during several times of the aplication, 2) students‟ perception on debate technique is good and positive, 3) and the teaching – learning process run well That students were active and enthusiastic in writing.

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kenyamanan, menu yang beragam, dan promosi memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap kebiasaan konsumsi makanan online di wilayah tersebut. Selain itu, faktor demografi seperti usia dan pendapatan juga disebut mempengaruhi perilaku konsumen dalam menggunakan platform GoFood.
Studi ini memberikan wawasan berharga tentang dinamika pasar makanan online di Jakarta Selatan. Bisnis restoran online dapat menggunakan temuan ini untuk mengembangkan strategi pemasaran yang lebih efektif dan menyesuaikan penawaran mereka dengan preferensi konsumen lokal. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga berkontribusi pada pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang tren konsumsi makanan online di lingkungan perkotaan yang berkembang pesat, sehingga dapat berguna untuk penelitian lebih lanjut dan pengambilan keputusan bisnis.

Bad weather that hit several regions in Indonesia is large enough to impact the food and beverage industry in this country. For only the Jabodetabek area, the floods predicted suppress the turnover to 25 percent.
Chairman of the Food and Beverage Association of Indonesia (Gapmmi) Adhi Lukman explained, a decrease of revenue is due to the difficulty of the distribution of products from the factory to the market because of the flooding block. Thus, it spreads on the decline in consumption.
As an overall result, Adhi estimated the food and beverage industry in Jabodetabek lost the income until Rp 200 billion per day. “In the normal situation, the income in each day for this region reached USD 800 billion,” he said on Tuesday (01/21/2014).
It is not only the distribution to the consumer, food and beverage manufacturers must also bear the losses due to the distribution of raw materials from the another region which also faltered.
For example, the transportation of fresh fruit and meat from Central Java, currently takes up to four days. Though, it usually takes only a half day. “Whereas within five days, the fresh raw materials will rot in about 50 percent” he said.
It hasn’t counted yet the losses because the factory could not be operated due to workers who could not get in because of flooding, or because there is no electricity supply due to outages by PLN in some areas.
Despite the losses is in sight, according to Adhi, manufacturers of foods and beverages will not raise their selling prices. Because this problem is only temporary.
