The farmer was thinking hard and then he got a good idea. He called all of his sons and ordered them, “Bring me a few sticks.” Then, the farmer tied the sticks into a bundle.

“There you are, my sons!”, said the farmer. “If you remain united, you are strong. But if you quarrel with one another, you will be broken one by one easily. Do you understand what I mean?”
At last, the advice worked out. They lived in harmony and united ever after. The farmer felt relieved. “Now I can die peacefully,” he whispered.

"Go to the middle of the river and wait until a rope appears from the river. Take the rope slowly, and then you will find a golden chain. You can cut and take it, but don't take the chain too long," said the old man. The husband then woke up from his dream.
In the next day, the husband took his sampan and went to river. He wanted to do the old man's advice as said in his dream last night. "Where are you going?" asked the wife. She was so surprised to see her husband was busy preparing the sampan. "I want to go fishing, Honey. See you later!" the husband didn’t want to tell his wife about his dream. He knew his wife would think he was crazy by following up a dream.
After the husband arrived in the river, he rowed his sampan until he reached the middle of the river. He then looked around the water surface very carefully. Suddenly a rope appeared from the river. "The old man was right!" said the husband to himself. He then slowly pulled the rope and at the end of the rope he saw a golden chain! The chain was sparkling and glowing. It was made from pure gold. "Wow! It’s really made of gold. I’m rich. I’m rich," the husband said happily. He kept pulling the chain. He forgot the old man's advice to take only short chain because it was enough for him. The poor man became greedy. He wanted to take the golden chain as long as possible.
While he was busy pulling out the golden chain, a bird came to him. It talked, "Remember the old man's advice. Take only a short golden chain." But the poor man ignored the bird and kept on pulling out the chain. Slow but sure, his sampan was full of the golden chain. It was so full that finally the sampan could not hold the weight any more. The sampan started to drown. The golden chain was sinking and went to the bottom of the river creating a big wave in the river. The wave almost swallowed the poor man. He was so panicked. He swam as fast as possible to the river side.
When he arrived on the river side, he felt sorry to himself. He blamed himself for being a greedy man. But it was already too late. But then he realized that it was a lesson for him to work hard if he wanted to earn money.

Assalamu’alakum Wr. Wb.
Good morning everyone….
Here, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Kanaya Novivian Tabitha Angel. You can call me Naya. I’m 16 years old. I’m from SMK Negeri 1 Seyegan.
Today I'am going to deliver about the story of Raden Ajeng Kartini
Raden Ajeng Kartini she is also commonly known as R.A Kartini. She is known as one of the national hero determined to fight for the emancipation of women.
So ladies and gentleman ....
Here is the story of R.A. Kartini
Once upon a time, in the city of Jepara, there was born a beautiful baby from javanese royal family. Her name is Kartini who has a long name Raden Adjeng Kartini , she is the daughter of a duke who later became regent of Jepara, Raden Mas Adipati Ario Sosroningrat. The mother of Kartini is Ngasirah, the first wife of Sosroningrat who worked as a teacher in a school at Telukawur, Jepara.
Kartini's Father: “My wife, look at our child, she is so beautiful, she is like you."
Kartini's Mother: "Yes she is so charming, may God makes her loyal to their family and useful for a lot of people.”
Kartini's Father: "Definitely my wife, she would be useful for many people"
Little Kartini grew into a cheerful girl, she played with other like she grew up in royal family. When he was 12 years old, she was prohibited from continuing his studies in Europese Lagere School (ELS) where she also learned Dutch. The prohibition to pursue the ideals of her schooling comes from her closest person, her father, because at the time she was a girl who was 12 years old and she must undergo seclusion/ “dipingit”.
Kartini: “May I apologize my father for disturbing you, I want to ask something for you.”
Kartini's Father: "it's okay my dear, what do you want to ask?.”
Kartini: “Sorry my father, would you tell me why you won’ let me go to school.”
Kartini's Father: “My Dear, you are now 12 years old, and it's about time you do seclusion, this is already customary, you must follow the rule.”
Kartini: “I’m sorry father, but I still want to go to school, I would have missed them, my teachers, I still want to learn, and I still want to play with my sisters, Roekmini and Kardinah.”
Kartini's Father: “You have to follow the rule! Do you dare to oppose our custom!”
Because there was no power on her against the wishes of his father, young Kartini resorted to do the seclusion. However, young kartini still wanted to seek a knowledge, explore their curiosity, and still want to be useful for many people.
During the seclusion she wrote letters to her dutch friends to gain the knowledge of Europe concerning rights as human beings especially women.
Kartini: “I have to fix my life, even though I do not currently have the right to argue, at least other women do not suffer like me. Yes and I should start it with writing.”
Kartini: “it seems to be interesting when I started to write a letter to my friend Rosa Abendanon to share her knowledge to me.”
Since that time the relationship between Rosa and kartini worked continuously , Rosa Abendanon also often sent books and newspapers from Europe to young Kartini so her thinking becomes more advanced. In the European newspaper told that women have the same position to achieve their rights while in Indonesia, women are at a very low social stratum.
Kartini: “Rosa you are are a such best friend, well, it seems not quite enough if I just learn from Rosa, I had to share this with other women, they should have the this.”
After doing the seclusion, she marriage with a regent of Rembang named Duke Ario Singgih Djojo Adhiningrat over the choice of her parents. At the time Kartini status as the second wife of the regent of Rembang. However her husband strongly support his ideals and even allow Kartini builtd a women school.
Kartini: “My husband, sorry if I’m disturbing you, if I may ask as the duke's wife, do you allow me to built a school for a woman.”
Duke Ario Singgih Djojo Adhiningrat: “Kartini, if that is your wish, I will.”
Kartini: “Thank you my Duke.”
During her marriage, Kartini blessed with one son named Soesalit Djojoadhiningrat. Kartini passed away on her 25 years old, her last four days after giving birth.
The Kartini’s struggle did not stop even after his death. The struggle continued by his friend Rosa Abendanon who posted the both letters into a book. The book was entitled “Door Duisternis tot Licht” which means "From the Darkness Into the Light".
In 1964, President Ir. Soekarno declarated Kartini birth date, on 21 April as “Kartini’s Day” an Indonesian national day.
Afterwards, Kartini recognized not only a hero determined to fight emancipation of women, but also a nationalist figure with new ideas who struggled for independence.
As a woman, Kartini is alredy known as a famous women hero and an important for Indonesia. Let us be the next Kartini!.
Okay, I think that’s all, thanks for your attention.

Once upon a time in the country of Japan there lived two frogs, one of whom made his home in a ditch near the town of Osaka, on the sea coast, while the other dwelt in a clear little stream which ran through the city of Kioto. At such a great distance apart, they had never even heard of each other; but, funnily enough, the idea came into both their heads at once that they should like to see a little of the world, and the frog who lived at Kioto wanted to visit Osaka, and the frog who lived at Osaka wished to go to Kioto, where the great Mikado had his palace.
So one fine morning in the spring they both set out along the road that led from Kioto to Osaka, one from one end and the other from the other. The journey was more tiring than they expected, for they did not know much about travelling, and half way between the two towns there arose a mountain which had to be climbed. It took them a long time and a great many hops to reach the top, but there they were at last, and what was the surprise of each to see another frog before him! They looked at each other for a moment without speaking, and then fell into conversation, explaining the cause of their meeting so far from their homes. It was delightful to find that they both felt the same wish--to learn a little more of their native country--and as there was no sort of hurry they stretched themselves out in a cool, damp place, and agreed that they would have a good rest before they parted to go their ways.
'What a pity we are not bigger,' said the Osaka frog; 'for then we could see both towns from here, and tell if it is worth our while going on.'
'Oh, that is easily managed,' returned the Kioto frog. 'We have only got to stand up on our hind legs, and hold on to each other, and then we can each look at the town he is travelling to.'
This idea pleased the Osaka frog so much that he at once jumped up and put his front paws on the shoulders of his friend, who had risen also. There they both stood, stretching themselves as high as they could, and holding each other tightly, so that they might not fall down. The Kioto frog turned his nose towards Osaka, and the Osaka frog turned his nose towards Kioto; but the foolish things forgot that when they stood up their great eyes lay in the backs of their heads, and that though their noses might point to the places to which they wanted to go their eyes beheld the places from which they had come.
'Dear me!' cried the Osaka frog, 'Kioto is exactly like Osaka. It is certainly not worth such a long journey. I shall go home!'
'If I had had any idea that Osaka was only a copy of Kioto I should never have travelled all this way,' exclaimed the frog from Kioto, and as he spoke he took his hands from his friend's shoulders, and they both fell down on the grass. Then they took a polite farewell of each other, and set off for home again, and to the end of their lives they believed that Osaka and Kioto, which are as different to look at as two towns can be, were as like as two peas.

The Donkey Who Would Sing
A wild donkey once lived in the woods. He had no friends and lived all alone.
One day a jackal passing by saw the donkey. He went up to the donkey and said, “What is the matter? Why do you look so sad my dear fellow?"
The donkey turned to the jackal and said, “I have no friends and am very lonely."
“Well, don't worry. I will be your friend from today," the jackal comforted him.
From that day, the donkey and jackal became very good friends. They were always seen together.
One moonlit evening, the jackal and the donkey were strolling through the woods. It was a cool and pleasant evening. As they walked on, they came to the outskirts of a village bordering the woods. There in front of them was a grove of fruit trees.
“Ah. Look! How wonderful and delicious the fruits look," said the donkey. “Let’s eat some of them."
“Okay," said the jackal. “But let’s do it very quietly."
They entered the grove and silently started to eat the fruits. After eating enough, they lay under a tree happy and content. “That was delicious, but there is something missing tonight," said the donkey.
“What is that?" asked the jackal. “Why, music of course," answered the donkey, looking a little surprised.
The jackal asked, “Where are we going to get music from?" The donkey said. “Don’t you know that I am an accomplished singer?"
The jackal was alarmed. "Remember, we are in an orchard. If the farmer hears us, we will be in trouble. If you want to sing let us go away from here," he advised the donkey.
"You think I can't sing, don't you?" asked the donkey in a hurt voice.
“Wait till you hear me."
The jackal realised that the donkey was not willing to take his good advice. He moved away and hid himself behind a clump of trees. The donkey threw back his head and started his song. “He …haw, hee-haw," he brayed aloud.
The farmers hearing the loud braying came rushing with sticks and gave the foolish donkey a severe beating that left the donkey feeling sore all over.
After the farmers had left, the jackal went over to his friend. He said. “Is this the prize you won for your singing?"
“They don’t appreciate good music," replied a hurt and ashamed donkey.
The jackal replied. “This is what happens when you don’t listen to the advice given by a good friend. I hope you have learnt a lesson."
